When we hired Melissa to decorate our new flat we really had no idea what to expect. We had never worked with an interior designer before and we didn’t even really know what design styles we liked or what we wanted our home to look like. But Melissa was brilliant. She put us at ease right from the start, discussing lots of possibilities with us and explaining exactly why some things would work and others wouldn’t. Even more miraculously she managed to interpret our vague musings on the kind of things we liked, coming up with a finished design that is absolutely “us”. We love it. She was able to identify our needs and tastes long before we did - and then improved on it all by adding her own unmistakeable designer touches. Brilliant. Can’t recommend her enough!

We had got quite far on our own making structural changes to our home, but needed some advice on buying furniture, decorating and general styling once the heavy building work was finished. That’s when we called in Melissa and I have to say her help was invaluable. She understood the look we were after immediately and worked tirelessly to source items that fulfilled - and completely surpassed - our brief. She advised us on everything from paint colours to side tables to wall art to light fittings - often making suggestions about things that we hadn’t even considered. She produced helpful room mockups so that we could clearly understand her proposals and she explained all the aspects of the design in a way that made perfect sense. Last (but not least!) she stayed religiously on budget and charged extremely reasonably for her work. Thoroughly recommended!

I never knew that you could hire an interior designer to work on just part of a house or on a single room - I always imagined they would only take on big projects. But a friend suggested that I contact Melissa for advice on a bedroom - and she couldn't have been more helpful or come up with a more brilliant solution for me! I had been having trouble with decorating this room for lots of reasons - a very high ceiling, no obvious place to put the bed, no storage space etc. And Melissa just solved everything - effortlessly and with such style that I honestly can't believe that it's the same room! She found a place for wardrobes, hung stunning custom-made curtains, sourced loads of amazing decorative pieces including (my favorite!) some hand-painted light sconces, moved the door so that there is now proper space for the bed - and even dressed the bed with linen that looks as though it's come from a magazine!
