If you haven’t been there already, I recommend you visit Edinburgh. I went there for the first time this weekend and fell completely in love. It’s such a charismatic city with its stunning views and beautiful buildings, and is filled with tons of charming little bars and restaurants.
Though, I didn’t just fall in love with Edinburgh this weekend – I fell in love with tartan! Tartan, or plaid, is very much the “in” thing at the moment in fashion trends, but I’m talking about tartan for the home. It’s so irresistibly cosy and inviting – why wouldn’t you want it in your bedroom or living room? With its criss-crossed multi-tonal weave, it’s a great way of bringing subtle colour in to a room – a bit of texture really goes a long way.
If you’re looking to introduce a bit of tartan to your décor, try the muted, paler hues for an all-year-round finish.
Or otherwise, why not opt for monochrome like these Osborne & Little cushions? This brilliantly simple pattern will really add depth to your furnishings without the need for a colour.
For a more seasonal, wintery feel, go for the traditional red and green – it’s truly perfect for Christmas. (Throw a stag in the mix and you’re onto a winner!)
If you’re looking to treat yourself to a lovely soft tartan blanket or throw like the above, look no further, Bronte By Moon is just the place.
Enjoy a cup of hot cocoa and snuggle up to that lovely woven wool…
